Act 1. [ Part 3 ]
“I’ll go back to the Guild.”
Tundra gave you a nod to dismiss you and a few others, giving you permission to return back to the Guild. It was disappointing to know the Outlaw had managed to escape, and now a whole search was being conducted. Unfortunately, it was much too dark to safely join in the hunt. You and a few others returned to the Guild, with Nevermore waiting at the entrance to welcome you back. You explained that Tundra had conducted a small search party for the Outlaws, and Nevermore nodded in understanding, suggesting for all of you to go back to sleep, and that hopefully you’d hear word in the morning.
Morning did eventually come, as it always did, but it did not bring good news. Both the Guildmasters seemed pretty defeated, as well as the few Guild members who’d stayed to help in the search.
NEVERMORE
Oh dear.. I take it you couldn’t find them after all?
TUNDRA
Unfortunately not. They already had a head start as it was, and they seemed to know their way around the darkness pretty well. Eventually, we lost all sight and trace of them. There’s no other choice but to abandon the search tonight and try again another time.
NEVERMORE
I see. That is unfortunate, but there’s no use risking everyone getting lost trying to find them in the dark. Very well, we’ll just have to keep an eye out and spread the word. If anyone happens to see them, we’ll just ask them to inform us as soon as they can. The sooner we can recapture these Outlaws, the better. For now, all of you, please go rest up. You all did your best, thank you.
In the end, it turned out they all lost sight of the Outlaws and had no choice but to turn back. The plan now was to simply spread the word of the escaped Outlaws, even if the only one you’d caught sight of was the Shinx. It wasn’t an incredible feeling, but all you could do now was to do your best.
