Act 1. [ Part 2 ]

Continue.

With your help, you and Tundra were able to successfully subdue the Spidops, Tundra producing a strong rope from his bag to tie the Spidops’ arms behind his back, then retrieved the silk net he’d abandoned. A few stolen apples and Orbs, but none of the reported missing trinkets. Only the Spidops knew where the rest of his stash was, and now it was time for you and Tundra to bring him back to the Guild for interrogation.

It wasn’t going well. It was the next morning, and you’d caught the right Pokemon, that much was certain, but he was refusing to answer questions regarding the whereabouts of his hideout, or where the rest of the missing items were, and it was getting exhausting. Tundra sighed, leaning against the wall, arms folded.

TUNDRA

We’re getting nowhere with this. I apologise, I hoped this would be easier, but if he doesn’t want to cooperate, then it’s going to take a lot longer to resolve. This very well may take all day to get an answer.

Just then, Guildmaster Nevermore appeared, followed by a rather distraught-looking Swablu, round beady eyes wide and damp with tears.

NEVERMORE

Ah, I do apologise for interrupting, but I have here a Pokemon with me who has a rather urgent request. They say they and their friend were exploring the outskirts of Dense Canopy when a Pokemon rushed at them and startled them both. Their friend fled into the Dungeon and the Pokemon chased after him, and the poor Swablu here wants to know if someone is available to try and find their friend.

TUNDRA

I see. Explorer, how about you take this one on? From the sounds of it, this could potentially be another Outlaw case, a Pokemon harassing another, maybe even attempting to harm or steal from their friend. This interrogation might go on for a while, so Nevermore and I will handle this. See if you can use your experience apprehending the Spidops to take on this situation by yourself. You’ve got this!

With your newly assigned task, you got prepared, then headed out towards the new Dungeon, with Nevermore giving you directions before you left. Just like Tangled Overgrowth, Dense Canopy was a far walk, taking most of the day to get to. As its name suggested, it was a highly dense crowd of trees, the canopy shrouding the sky and preventing almost all sunlight from reaching the ground. The woods were entirely shadowed, near impossible to see and even harder to navigate. On top of that, there was a heavy ominous air, and there was certainly a hidden Pokemon somewhere watching your every move. Somewhere deep in this Dense Canopy, your target awaited, and an innocent Pokemon needed your help.

After a long exploration, a voice called out, echoing. It pleaded for help, and it was close by. Following the sound, it soon led you to a small, dark clearing where less foliage grew. In the center of the clearing was a cowering Deino, and standing before him was a rather nonthreatening Shinx with large Noibat ears and wings on his back. His fur was bristling, yelling at the Deino, demanding for him to hand over any valuables, to which the poor Deino insisted he had none.

These must have been the very Pokemon you were looking for. The Deino seemed to have noticed you, raising his head to look at you, pleading and hopeful, calling out for your assistance.. which only drew attention to you. The Shinx whirled around to face you, irritated at the interruption.

???

Great. Now YOU’RE here to ruin the fun. What, you think I’m just gonna turn myself in? Think again, I’m not going anywhere! And I’ll take you down just to prove it!
