Act 1. [ Part 2 ]
Begin...
It was getting later and later, the dense cluster of trees slowly blocking out more and more light as the sun began lowering in the sky. Even Tundra was starting to look concerned, ears folding back and brows furrowed. There was still no sign of the Spidops Outlaw, and the longer it took to find him, the higher chance of him escaping.
TUNDRA
It’s starting to get pretty late. I wouldn’t want to keep you out here during the night. If we can’t find the Outlaw soon, we may need to just head back to the Guild and try again tomorrow.
Suddenly, Tundra’s ears shot upright, alert, eyes wide and searching the trees. His focus was directed to one spot, and he shifted into a battle stance.
TUNDRA
Maybe we won’t go back empty handed after all. Ready yourself, explorer, I think I’ve finally detected our target. Right over there, hiding in that tree. I don’t believe he’s detected us yet. Come on, let’s get him before he escapes!
Tundra led you through the foliage, signalling when to halt and when to hide, keeping his focus locked on where the Spidops was supposedly hidden. Then, once you were close enough, he gestured for you to move around to the side, to keep out of sight, and cut off the Outlaw when he tries to make a break for it.
He carefully moved to the other side, steadied himself, then fired off a powerful Aura Sphere into the trees. A flock of Chatot shot out from the trees, chattering loudly. An Aipom took off, frantically swinging from tree to tree. A Spidops with a net made of silk slung over a shoulder suddenly collapsed to the ground, letting out a frustrated yell. Tundra moved up towards the Spidops, but the Bug type hurriedly got to his feet, abandoning the silk net and getting ready to flee, only to rush, unaware, right at you. The moment he spotted you, he froze, shocked to see someone blocking his path.
TUNDRA
Well done, explorer! We’ve got him now!
